You have to find out when your spark plug is firing if it is firing when its top dead center magneto key should be fine but if not firing top dead center you have problem. Sometimes it's just a faulty relay or a bad connection. If the pump is getting power but still don't spool up when you cycle the key, then the pump is bad.
