This issue also shows up on all of the Hyundai forums because this engine is a Hyundai design/build. My 2.0 will exhibit rough idling about 7 - 10 times a month. Mine has been doing this since I drove it off the lot.

Problem is if my AC is on (Its Florida and I am big, I like my Air con) and I press the clutch in at idle, revs rise but there is a subtle hum you can hear from the drivers side engine area. Not deafening, but definitely odd. Let off clutch in neutral and revs drop to the normal 500/600 mark and hum disappears.

I sometimes find in hot weather to idle the car for air conditioning which is obviously not good to do but circumstances call for it. When I got the car in service the coolant was low so I had it drain and fill at a local repair place.
